SENATE DEBATE ON NET CENSORSHIP 

The Senate voted to pass the Telecomm bill on Thursday (2/1/96). If you
are also an avid vote counter, the tally was 91 AYEs, 5 NOES, and 3 not
voting. The NOES were Feingold (D-WI), Leahy (D-VT), McCain (R-AZ), Simon
(D-IL), and Wellstone (D-MN).  The "not voting" were Dodd (D-CT), Gramm
(R-TX), and Rockefeller (D-WV).

HOUSE DEBATE ON NET CENSORSHIP 

The House vote on the Telecomm bill was 414 AYES, 16 NOES, and 4 not
voting.  The 16 NOES were: Abercrombie (D-HI), Conyers (D-MI),
DeFazio (D-OR), Evans (D-IL), Frank (D-MA), Hilliard (D-AL),
Hinchey (D-NY), Johnson (D-SD), Nadler (D-NY), Peterson (D-MN),
Sanders (Socialist-VT), Schroeder (D-CO), Stark (D-CA), Volkmer (D-MO),
Williams (D-MT), and Yates (D-IL).  The four who did not vote were:
Bryant (D-TX), Chapman (D-TX), Filner (D-CA), and Rose (D-NC).
